THE FIRST 10 MONSTER BAGS ARE ON THEIR WAY

Good evening. I just wanted to let you know that the first 10 Daily Monster Messenger Bags are on their way to Arizona, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Idaho, and across town here in California. Thanks to all of you early adopters for diving right into the Daily Monster Heavy Manufacturing Adventure (or DaMoHeMa for short.) If you’re in the business of carrying things around with you and want to stop unsightly pocket lumps and bulges from destroying the crisp lines of your stylish garment, now is the time to strike. (I’m just saying… )

OK. Enough hype for one post… :^)

In other news, here’s a little teaser from my final Ink & Circumstance column. You can see the complete piece in the next issue of STEP inside design. Of course, there will be many more monsters between now and then. Why? Because 344 LOVES YOU

Final, as in, no more after this one? What will we do without your illustrated wisdom???

    Hi Sam.
Yes, sadly this will be the last of that—for no other reason that I ran out of bandwidth. Between the site, the monster book, some skunk works projects, and my actual paying clients (Dog bless them!), I just had to cut something. “Ink & Circumstance” has always been a real joy to have done, but each installment takes about 18 to 24 hours of work over a two day period—following a week of intense pacing, worrying, and flop sweat. Part of why I do the ink blowing is because it short-circuits my otherwise intense fear of the white page.
It’s a drag, though. I wish I could’ve figured out how to do another 89 columns (for another set of 100 of something), especially since Tom Biederbeck is a dream client, as was Emily Potts before him.
That said, I hope you’ll like the series finale.
