Haha he’s like a balloon! Love it.

    Coconut Bill
    was happy to be
    the cousin of
    a mighty Flea.
    Their favorite game
    was “flying siblings”
    Flea threw them higher
    than trampolines.
    Now Flea’s mighty throws
    nobody could match
    the only problem was
    he could not catch.

Bouncing Bob loved bouncing around and would do so all day until his mum told him to stop, or until he tipped over and fell on his nose. The latter hurt like Monster Hell and made him swear not to bounce ever again, something he held up until the pain had subsided three hours later.

Thank you, Joey. I'm glad you dig it! Thank you for checking back in!

Giving new meaning to the term "putting on airs." I dig it, Eric! Thank you!

Once you're addicted to Bounce it's hard to get clean. :^D

I just discovered your monsters yesterday and I love them! This has to be one of my favourites!
Did you start drawing from a very young age? And how did you come up with the idea to draw these?

  • 2 June 2011 2:38 am

Oh, thank you so much, Radekal! And welcome! Yeah, I've been drawing since I
can remember. (Though I obviously can't remember all that well. I recently
saw some drawings I did when I was four or five, and they're not very good.
    :^)
The first Monster just appeared on my arm one day while I was driving. It
looked like a friendly creature, and I immediately knew how to draw it, so I
did. And it was fun, which is rare for me, so I kept making more. Once I
started filming them there was really no way back. (Have you dipped into the
    video archive yet?)

Yeah I’ve seen some of the videos on youtube (that’s how I discovered you). You see when I was younger I also drew a lot, especially strange creatures etc. 😉
I think I’m gonna get me some pens and get back into drawing thanks to you!

  • 2 June 2011 1:36 pm

That's the best compliment ever! Thank you! Yes, put those pens to paper! I
started the Monsters partly out of a desire to draw more, but I'd get all
freaked out about what to draw, and if I really had the chops. Starting with
the ink blot short-circuits a lot of that very nicely.

You’re welcome. Some monsters are just too inspiring and I have to do something. I think I am getting addicted and may soon need to detox or follow a recovery programme.

  • 4 June 2011 2:53 pm

Yeah, I know how that goes. I hope you haven't hit rock bottom with the
    Monsters yet. :^)

which video shows you how to draw this one?

  • 10 June 2011 7:25 pm

Hi there, Holli. The Daily Monster Papers are just the drawings.
Unfortunately, I don't film myself drawing these. Have you poked the video
archive yet? Lots of fun stuff to see there. Not to offer a consolation
    prize or anything…
