MEET THE MONSTER BOOK

Good evening. I just got home from an appointment and guess what I found on my door step? An unannounced, swollen UPS box from my friends at HOW Books. I thought “No! It couldn’t be!” But it was! And it is! The first copy of 100 Days of Monsters! Needless to say I dropped everything else and filmed it for you. Why? Because this is your book as much as it’s mine, and besides 344 LOVES YOU

That is frakkin’ awesome! I can’t wait to get a hold of one. What would it take to get an autographed one?

aaiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee! I go away for a few weeks and look what happens! Egads, so exciting. Happy New Year, and everything!!

  • 17 January 2008 12:56 am

    Wow.
That is so cool. It’s really real.

Thank you for the kind words, guys! Isn’t this the best? I usually cringe and squirm when I get a new book from the bindery. With “All Access” it took me almost a year before I could really look at it — and I still kind of wince when I look at it now, because it was such a hard process. But I just went through this book twice. Sure, there are one or two little things I might want to tweak, but overall this is a happy book. It has a really positive vibe. It just feels GOOD. I can’t wait for you to see it.
As for the autographed copies, maybe we’ll do some sort of virtual book signing. Send me a stamped, self-addressed envelope and I’ll send you a nice big label with a personal inscription.

Wow, that looks fabulous! Every time I see the monsters, they give me inspiration to write something. If only I’d put all the inspiration on paper…

So awesome. I like the monster grasping the ISBN on the back cover, like he can’t stand the thought of orderly, uniform parallel lines, and is going to do something about it.
    Congratulations again!

  • 17 January 2008 2:59 pm

How cool is that? Congrats big times to you!

Patrick! You’re using the pause button, aren’t you? :^D
If you’re that observant on this clip, you’ll enjoy the 1.5pt type jokes in the book. Needless to say, you and Sam and Inanna and mogabog and b13 are all over the book, too.
